I only want a certain color or gender: My dogs are health tested (hips, elbows, DNA testing for inheritable diseases, heart echo, eyes) before they are bred. I only breed them if they have passed their clearances, and I breed them only to dogs that have also passed these same clearances. So, this is the order of importance, that I suggest to people when looking for a puppy: health, temperament, gender, color.
